The Virgin Islands has made progress in strengthening its defenses against money laundering and terrorist financing. Following the FATF Plenary in Paris, the Territory remains under increased monitoring but has shown substantial movement on key commitments.
The government has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering the FATF Action Plan, with all action items either completed, progressing, or ahead of schedule. The FATF has acknowledged improvements in the quality of Suspicious Activity Reports and the beneficial ownership regime.
The Territory has also improved reporting aligned with risk and increased resources within law enforcement authorities. Remaining commitments are on track for completion in 2027.
