The British Virgin Islands has officially begun its new cruise season with the inaugural call of Oceania Vista, a luxury vessel. The ship received a warm welcome from Junior Minister for Tourism Luce D. Hodge-Smith and representatives of the BVI Tourist Board and Ports Authority.

The visit marks a strong start to the season ahead for the Territory's tourism sector. Oceania Vista is known for its elegance and world-class culinary offerings, and its inclusion in the VI's Caribbean itinerary is expected to bring high-value visitors.

The VI saw record-breaking tourist arrivals by September 2026, with overnight arrivals increasing by 7.9% and cruise arrivals rising by approximately 38%.
