All six new light poles at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground have been installed and energised as the upgrade project moves into testing. The Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency announced the milestone on October 6.
Each pole stands about 30 metres, or nearly 100 feet, high. No Limit Construction carried out the installation as part of upgrades to the territory’s main sporting venue.
The Recovery and Development Agency said the electrical work is complete. The lighting contract is valued at $409,837.67.
