The Virgin Gorda Basketball Club has issued a formal apology to the East basketball team after travel and communication issues left players stranded on Virgin Gorda.
The problem arose from vessel capacity constraints and a failure to confirm headcounts and travel requirements.
As a result, team members were forced to take an early morning ferry back to Tortola.
The club has taken full responsibility for the breakdown in communication and is taking steps to improve travel coordination.
