About Virgin Islands Today
VIT brings together reporting and useful updates for the British and U.S. Virgin Islands, with BVI, USVI and All VI editions.
How we work
New discoveries are drafted as original summaries with source links. An independent checking stage retrieves the original evidence before publication. Uncertain, conflicting or unsupported claims are held for editorial review.
Earlier source reports remain part of the archive and retain their attribution. New workflow checks should not be interpreted as fresh verification of every historical article.
Images and corrections
VIT does not publish photographs of bodies, human remains or graphic injuries. An image without established usage rights or a successful safety check uses a neutral VIT graphic. Significant corrections are identified on the article.
Sports, music and travel
Our sports tracker and music directory remain dedicated sections. Travel timetables are published schedules; confirm current departures or cancellations with the operator.
Advertising
Paid placements must be clearly labelled Advertisement or Sponsored. Advertising enquiries and correction requests go to our newsroom inbox.
